Editorial principles

01

Every claim, sourced

Every factual claim carries a citation, and we omit what we cannot source. Sources are labelled by type (official material, books, on-air confirmation, Wikipedia, fan databases), and figures that are not official specs are marked as "unofficial".

02

A quiet curator

No subjective ratings ("best episode", "tear-jerker"). We do contextualize why a work is remembered — through facts about its structure, staff and firsts.

03

No piracy

We never embed full episodes (pirated reach-sites are illegal in Japan). Only official and hand-verified embeds; unverified material is offered as search links.

04

On images

The lead visuals are real product photos of things you can still own — figures and period toys — alongside the official videos (and their oEmbed thumbnails) published free on the Toei Tokusatsu YouTube Official channel. Product photos come only from the image-providing marketplaces (Rakuten, Yahoo!, Amazon) and always link to where to find the item; footage always links back to its source. We never rip stills from video, repost official stills without permission, or use images from pirated or third-party sites.

05

About shopping links

Some links are affiliate links and may earn this site a commission. We include the second-hand market (Suruga-ya, Mercari, etc.) so you can simply "find" an item across sources.

How to read the badges

Every statement carries a confidence badge, set by the strength of its source. "Confirmed" is reserved for facts backed by official material, books or on-screen canon. Anything resting on Wikipedia, fan encyclopedias or fan sites stays at "Reference," however widely it is repeated. The badge shows a source’s standing, plainly.

Confirmed

Backed by official material, published books, or on-screen canon.

Reference

From Wikipedia, fan encyclopedias (pixiv, Niconico) or fan sites — widely told, but not confirmed against a primary source.

Our reading

Our own reading of the footage etc. — interpretation, not raw fact.

Debated

Sources disagree, or it cannot be stated definitively.

Rumoured

Fan lore. Only real, circulating rumours — never invented by us.

Each source link is also tagged by type (official / book / canon / Wikipedia / encyclopedia / fan), and figures that are not official specs — heights, weights — are marked "unofficial."
