What these three works show
In this archive he appears as a TV Asahi producer on both Dairanger and Kakuranger. On Dairanger he aimed to rival the then-popular fighting game Street Fighter II and to surpass the ensemble drama of the earlier Jetman; on Kakuranger he has said the unmasked regular scenes were deliberately reduced in the back half to secure footage (faceless combat) for the US Power Rangers Season 3. A maker who shows how Japanese Sentai production was continuous with both the games culture of its time and its overseas adaptation.

Roles and character names follow the sources on each work page; the filmography follows the person’s Japanese Wikipedia article.
